The Brief
Eunju is an LA-based photographer who needed a portfolio site fast — bilingual EN/KR for Korean-American clients, a gallery that wouldn't fight her images, a contact form that actually converts, and a budget that ruled out a full CMS rebuild every year.
The Approach
A hand-built static HTML site on Cloudflare Pages: zero build pipeline, zero CMS overhead, instant deploys. The gallery uses CSS grid with responsive aspect-ratio cropping so images keep their composition across breakpoints. The contact form posts to a serverless function — no third-party form provider, no per-submission fee. Mobile-first throughout because portfolio traffic is overwhelmingly phone-driven.
The Result
A site Eunju can keep using for years without touching a CMS, that loads instantly because it's a single HTML file and an image folder, and that lets her work do the talking instead of competing with template chrome.
